My 16yo sister flew out on her own to Kansas today, where its usually between 105 and 110 F... and very heavily humid...

In the middle of Tornado alley Chris..the American mid-west...although the Tornado season should be at its back end m8.. so yes a very very brave girl...you must be so proud of her independance to travel so far on her own .

Took her a while. I flew out by myself when i was 14, loved it so went again at 15.

But yeah, considering the type of person she is... she said she'd only go if she could have no more than 2 flights, both at relatively major airports (therefore bigger planes) and not the grass strip we usually catch an 8 seater into.

Tornado's yeah - nearly got wiped out by one when we were staying in their cabin on the lake in Arkansas one year... their house is in a valley though so tornados don't tend to venture there. If they do, its right overhead its spectacular.

They are taking her to the gibson guitar factory this weekend!!

Yeah guess i am proud. she got herself a job too Both will be the making of her.
