Hi!

You have three hour to do this exam. I wonder if anyone has any experience
if the time 3 hours is much or that you
must hurry to be able to finish within specified time

Hi Tony

I can give a pretty good idea.. At 8:15 local time (Denmark) tuesday, i will
take the 70-536 exam...

I will give you my experience when i return home of both the questions and
my time consumption...

When do you plan to take the exam?? And do we really have 3 hours?? Is that
with the extra 30 minuttes awarded to those who don't have english as their
first language??

It seems like a long time to do 45-50 questions, but maybe i will return
with another view on that tomorrow.. ;-)

Hi Tony

I have studied by myself. I attend a multiple training course at SDE
(Syddansk Erhvers Skole) in Odense. Here i have done CompTIA A+ Technician,
CCNA, MCSA and CompTIA Security+ 2008.

Now i have decided to add som programming on to it and i'm doing 70-536,
70-561 and 70-505, starting with the 70-536 exam today...

It went well. I had a score of 769/1000, so i passed. I had hoped for a
higher score, but the questions where very detailed... I have used TestKing
and Visual CertExam Suite to prepare to the exam itself and although they
usually come close to to the actual exam, that was certainly not the case
with this one...

I had 130 minuttes (2h 10min) to do 40 questions. I was originally told, i
would get 45 questions, but only got 40. There was one "simulation", where i
had to declare from 6-7 different statements, which i would use to compile a
Windows Service to monitor free diskspace.

There where a lot of focus on XML serialization/deserialization and of COM
interoperation. There where also something about using principals
(Windows/Generic) and some AppDomain.

Compared to the current TestKing questions, i think they might have stepped
up the level. There where not so many basic level questions with focus on
what type to use and how to ensure the usabillity of foreach and so on...
All in all, i'm very satisfied with my 769, since i believe i've earned it
and it reflects the level of knowledge i have...

I used around 50 minuttes to do the test, but taking into account i usually
only use 20-30 minuttes, you might get a picture of the level of difficulty.
The answeres where very large, with big chunks of code, that somewhat made
it difficult to get an overview of the complete sets of code... Also the
scroller seem to have a life of its own.. ;-))

Sooo.. Now i have my license, now i have to go out and learn how to drive..
Hi Hi, as we say in Denmark in regards to newcomer drivers just getting
their drivers license...

I hope you can use this and if you have questions, just fire away...

I am puzzled.

SkillLevel(.NET app dev)
SkillLevel(XML ser + COM interop + Principals + AppDomain)

does not seem very correlated to me.

What can i say.. Those where the questions that stood out to me.. There
where 3/4 questions on both XML Ser and COM, which is around 10% to each of
those areas. I would call that to focus on, considering the amount of
classes in FW 2.0
