About Front End / Back end topology

HI,

One more question.

We have 3 Exchange servers with one of them in Exchange 2k3 being treated as
SMTP gateway, the others are Exchange 2000 servers mainly hosting the
mailboxes.

If I have to turn on the Ex2K3 server as Front End server, would there be
any implications for access to the other mailbox servers? Currenlty OWA are
pointing right to the mailbox servers. But if FE/BE is used, would I still
be able to access directly to the backend servers via OWA?
