about downloadind read inside PLZ

ok now i have a problem wenever i want to d/l like an
update it just says i want to open it and it d/ls to
temporary internet folder but i dont want it to i was to
save it but it wont let me every file i try just saves
iot n the temporary internet folder and its annoying PLZ
PLZ PLZ HELP THANK YOU

Create a download location manually when selecting a download.
Sounds like your default location somehow became your Temp Internet Files
Folder.

Downloads Open fix: (by Alan Edwards)
You set this for each file type, e.g. for .zip
Explorer-View-Folder Options-File Types
Find the .zip association (may be WinZip File)
Edit, (or click Advanced on ME or XP) and check the "Confirm open
after download" box

The path to Folder Options may vary according to your operating
system. It may be:
Explorer-View-Folder Options
Explorer-Tools-Folder Options
Start-Settings-Folder Options
Start-Settings-Control Panel-Folder options.
