Able to VPN to network, but can't map drives

Kenny Bullock

I'm using Windows XP home connecting from home to our company's network. I
am to connect fine through VPN, but I cannot map to any network drives. I
can ping by IP address and by server name. Our company is using Microsoft
ISA for a firewall. Other than having the necessary ports open to VPN in;
is there a port or setting needed to browse. The box is checked in
properties of the VPN client to Enable NetBios over TCP/IP.

Any suggestions.

Thanks.

I had a similar problem and discovered that since I had an
onboard ethernet card in my laptop and another ethernet
card in my port replicator, XP created a MAC bridge to
bridge the two active cards. VPN would connect to my
company, but I could not map the drives or even see them. I
deleted the MAC bridge and now can connect to the VPN
properly.
