Has anyone had any problems installing the drivers for the Abit AW8-MAX on windows XP 64bit edition.
I have installed all drivers from the abit web site and have everything installd except 1 devise which i believe to be the Intel ICH7 chip - which we have downloaded the intel matrix storage manager - however it will not install "incorrect hardware" error message - which is weird as its definatly the right software for the ICH7 and for 64 edition

64bit

Windows XP 64bit seems to have conflicts with some drivers & software even if they say they work on makers site or via the microsoft site. This is the reason i have stayed clear until all the bugs are fixed with the next update or service pack:eek:
 
I agree with murdoch ... avoid MS 64bit edition, sad release of a windows product ... ;)

Have you tried Intel for any "fix" ... :thumb:

If Intel can't fix it then i suggest jimmy saville, cos he fixes it for people:rolleyes:

Yea i think ill go to jim then !!!

I agree though about 64 its not worth it - but it wasn't my pc so ...........

Just left it with the one driver missing and seems to be working alright !!
