Abending in Windows with "RPC"

Bronxcats

After I sign on the AT&T internet, in about 5 minutes, I
get a window pop-up saying "Windows must shut down"
(RPC).
Notified by: NT Authority/System

What do I do to stop this? I cannot work it keeps
shutting my windows down.

Please Help
 
Install:

As soon as you can!

Also enable Windows XP's built in firewall:

Then go to WindowsUpdate to pick up the latest updates:
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com

Only reply by newsgroup. If I see an email I didn't ask for, it will be
deleted without reading.
 
Right I have posted all the info on my website, and the link to Symantec. It
seems like a worm is responsible for this RPC vulnerability, and RPC fix,
and removal instructions are on my website.

There you will find the type of RPC error that has been going around very
rapidly at the moment, and the link to Symantec which has fixes.
