A8N-SLI Premium BIOS

I am considering purchasing the A8N-SLI Premium Mobo with a 64x2 3800
processor. The AMD website says it needs a certain version of BIOS.
That version is downloadable from the ASUS website so I am assuming a lower
BIOS version will be on board when I purchase the Mobo.
So my question is what will happen when I put the system together?? Will the
Chip be recognized??
How can I flash the BIOS if the Chip is not recognized?
Does anyone have a similar experience??

You could ask the retailer if they would be able to flash the BIOS for you.
That's what I did with mine to ensure it would recognise my X2 3800+. The
place I bought mine from flashed the BIOS for me for free; some places will
charge a service fee to do it.

Unless the mobo has been on the shelf for a long time, chances are
that it will come with the proper BIOS for an X2. Unfortunately,
"chances are" is not good enough. Determine which BIOS you need,
presumably 1005 or higher, and demand that the merchant tell you what
is on the board he's going to sell you. A quality place like Newegg
should be able to do that for you.
