A7V8X-X 1GB PC2700 - Recommendations?

I've recently put together a system with the A7V8X-X and an Athlon XP
2800+. I installed 2 512mb pc2700 modules from kington, and could not
get the system stable at 333fsb. The cpu is running at 1.6ghz, when it
should be 2.2. I know all the details about maxing out the banks and
what not. Has anyone gotten this board to run stable at 333fsb with
1GB of PC2700? If so, what brand memory do you use? Any help is
appreciated. Thanks.

I have this board too and the same problems - 1 Gig not running stable
with FSB 166, but with FSB set to 162 everything runs perfect.
I am using Kingmax DDR 2700 but tried Infineon - the same problem.
The performance loss is not perceptible,so in the moment i stay at
FSB 162 (cpu: barton 2500+ runnning at 2,1 GHz (multiplier = 13)).

bye,
Helmut

I have bios 1006, I didn't want to flash to 1007 because I've heard
horror stories about that one. Also, I just tried removing a stick
bringing it down to 512mb, and I have the same issues at fsb 166/33.
the machine reboots when I try to do anything processor intensive.

What PSU are you using? If you're running anything that is 300W or below you
might be experiencing power issues.
