A7V8X vs. A7V600

just looked over the specs on both of these, it appears to be just
about the same board.

anyone comment on why one is a better choice than another, price
notwithstanding.

the A7V8X is generally unavailable now (except for the inferior A7V8X-X) and
has been replaced by the 600, so go for the latter.

Someone found an article that implied there's rumored to be a VIA
KT600a come out with dual channel memory. Link below.

You know, I JUST posted the following;

On my A7V8X-X I find that I can hit higher multipliers if I underclock the
FSB. I'm urnning a 2600+ and can hit anywhere from 2083 (12.5x166
@1.65vcore) to 2434 (15x162@ 1.80vcore) with great stability. Unles I really
want to ramp up performance I tend to leave it running around 2ghz with the
lower vcore.

I don't personally find the A7V8X-X to be inferior however I do understand
that the popular choice is with nVidia and I know there are more
performance features involved there as well. I'm stll plananing to go
A7V600.

Am I missing something? Isn't the V600 a VIA chipset board. Personally I
like my A7V8X but will upgrade it shortly to a V600 (when I say upgrade,
it's a hand me down situation where my naff gateway needs a new mobo and I
figure I may as well have a V600 and put my old 2200/V8X combo on the gate.)
