A7V8X / MBM high-temp query

Just installed a new version of MBM, and it configures itself according
to the mobo used.

Regarding the CPU temps, can anyone enlighten me as to the main
difference between the diode and socket temperatures? ATM I'm reading
24C (diode) and 48C (socket) - are these ok? I'm using an XP1900+
coupled with a Thermalright SLK-900A cooler/80mm fan. ** These are idle
temps with the case open **

I've never had a problem before - until this install of MBM, that is. I
only ask because running 3DMark 2001SE causes the high-temp alarm to
trigger when the socket temp reaches 70C.

Anyone thinking I need to reseat the heatsink (which is bolted to the
mobo, so *should* be ok)? Or do I ignore that temp, and go off the diode
instead?

Other info:-

GPU: Radeon 9600Pro
SND: Audigy 2
RAM: 512MB Crucial 333Mhz
HDD: Maxtor 120GB + 2 x Pioneer DVD/RW drives

Thanks people,

Mark

I would get a second opinion by seeing what Probe says.
