A7V600 PS2 Port Issue

On my A7V600 the computer hangs when a PS2 mouse is used; has anybody else
experienced this. A USB mouse causes no problems.

No problems here with my Logitech PS/2 mouse and A7V600.

I am using PS/2 mouse in the in PS/2 port. What Bios setting have you got
for reserving IRQ12 for the mouse.

I've been using a 'Logitech trackman wheel' USB trackball with a PS/2
adaptor, plugged into the PS/2 port with no problems for months.

Coincidentally I just shifted it to a USB port today to see if it made any
difference to a tiny buzz (only audible with the sound turned all the way
up) that I get whenever I move the mouse pointer.

It didn't change it.

I have "PS/2 Mouse Function Control" set to auto.
