I am having a problem with my system. It began about a week ago,
while I was using my computer...it just turned off. I did some
troubleshooting and suspected the cpu had overheated. I removed the
heat sink and replaced the thermal tape with arctic silver. Now the
machine executes a windows shut down after about 2 minutes of being up
and running. It stays on in safe mode and the bios. Any ideas?

Specs:
Athlon 1800+
Asus A7V333 Mobo
RAID w/2 60 GB Barracudas and a 40 GB Cuda
ATI AIW 7500Pro
512 MB PC2700 RAM
Antec 430W PS

Thanks,
Cory

Check your temps with Mother Board Monitor. See if the PU Diode temp
is too high
