A7NX Deluxe, Barton, and PC 2100 ?

My nephew had some quirky problems with his Pent 3 500mhz, so I decide
to give him my MSI KT266a/xp1600 combo and I ordered a A7NX deluxe and
a Barton. I wanted to save some cash for the short term and thought
if I could split my 2 banks of 256meg of crucial memory bewteen me and
him (for now). Seems like memory is still evolving a bit.

1) Will this board work with the 2500 Barton and a stick of 256 meg
PC2100 Crucial at 266 FSB?

2)Is there a chance of running the Crucial 2100 at 333 speeds? And if
so what timings would you suggest?

3) If I can over clock the PC2100 is there a chance I could damage it?

4) What memory works best with this board when I do buy and I'll
probably do with 2 banks of 256meg each? Corsair XMS? The single side
winbond stuff?

I typically order from Newegg. This is my first Asus/Nvidia board. I
had been a MSI/Via guy...hope this will be a pleasant experience.

TIA

Yes. Run the memory at the same speed as the FSB.

No. Maybe 145MHz or so.

Provided you don't increase the voltage too high, not likely. Run Memtest if
you overclock much past 133MHz

The Barton will likely do 200MHz+ FSB, so you'll need at least PC3200 to run
in sync with it. Corsair and Mushkin are very good brands.
