A7N8X Deluxe + BIOS 1007 + Hynix RAM

So, I updated to BIOS 1007 for the supposed "improved" stability with
the Hynix chips - which I have (512, PC2700). My system was not
unstable to begin with, but my memory bandwidth results in Sandra were
pretty low... VERY low actually - 200pts lower than the sample for a
KT333... So I figured I might as well try this new BIOS, maybe I'll
see some speed increases. Ahhhhh NO. It's slower now, much slower.

Int: 1491, before BIOS update: ~1800, sample KT333 setup: 2092
Float: 1431, before BIOS update: ~1750, sample KT333 setup: 2014

$#@%$#@^%$@!!!!!!

I guess I'll go back to 1006... but why is my memory so slow to begin
with? I've tried two sticks with the same pathetic results... Maybe
its the Hynix chips?? :(

After you flashed your BIOS to 1007 did you reset your FSB to match the RAM
and the CPU?

The truth is out there. You just have to look in the right places and ask
the right questions.

HI

I had the same problem with 1007 on my A7N8X Deluxe ver. 1.xx,
Barton 2600@3200 and Corsair DDR 3500Ram - 100% stable under 1006
but closing problem and freezing with 1007. And 'jes' I did a
total clearing (battery out) as well. Setting 'agressive' FSB
200(400). Bios 1006 is 100% ok, but Bios 1007 gave me problems.

Regards
Henning
