A7N8X Audio Quality ???

I've been reading a lot of reviews about how good the audio is supposed to
be on the A7N8X because of the features that the NVidia chipset provides.
However, if you look at the specs of the board, it still uses a Realtek
ALC650. I've read that the Realtek audio chips give pretty bad quality
audio. So what's up here? Does the board use the NVidia chipset for audio
or the Realtek chip? If it uses both somehow, wouldn't the Realtek ruin
everything? I would love to get some in depth explanation on how
motherboard audio works, on this board, or in general.

Thanks,
Harry

P.S. From personal experience, would you say this board has good audio?
I'm currently using a Sound Blaster 32 AWE. The biggest thing I hate, is
that annoying white noise you can hear when the speakers are idle.

Using the Deluxe motherboard and now using the onboard sound,5-1 speakers.

Sound quality is brill, Games, music, dvds spot on.

I recently aquired an Audigy Sound Card and although I had problems getting
all 5 speakers running I
thought the onboard sounded better.
Still got the sound card and just waiting for some digital speakers so I can
test again but with
5-1 speakers running.

Look on www.Tomshardware.com for a review of the Audigy and onboard sound
m/b's, Says
the onboard sound has less cpu time than any other card/onboard review.

Not positive but I think only the non-Deluxe version of the A7N8X uses
the Realtek ALC650 chip, which I have, and it's audio is 10x cleaner
then a SB AWE32, no white noise, but at times I can hear high pitched
noises very faintly if I have the volume and my AMP turned way up.
Game sounds/effects are way better then the AWE32 also, no contest!
