A7n266-vm problem

A7N266-VM in minicase with 200W PS
I have set jumpers to allow keyboard and ps2 mouse powerup. I have set BIOS
to allow this powerup.
It works once, then after powering off, will not poweron with keyboard or
mouse. Powerbutton works fine.
If I unplug case, then plug back in, it will powerup once with keyboard or
mouse, but never a second time.
Anyone have this problem? If so, any solutions? Thanks.

Me too. With four different A7N266-VM boards that
otherwise seem to be OK.
If so, any solutions? Thanks.

No solutions here. Doesn't seem to affected by the
BIOS version. Doesn't seem to be affected by the
make/model of the keyboard or mouse. Those are
the only possible solutions I've tried.

I just returned a A7N266-VM to NewEgg.com becuase it would not power up from
the keyboard and the USB would hang frequently and sometimes just quit
working.

Try disconnecting the monitor and then wait a while. Then try pressing
a key on the keyboard. Some PCs have had problems with current flowing
from the monitor back into the motherboard, which makes the board think
it is still powered up.

If that workaround works for you, I have never heard of a fix other
than to swap some hardware.

If your monitor has separate BNC connectors for R G B H V, try them
instead. The three to five coaxial signals on an old monitor are
passive and will not pump current. The ID/DDC1/DDC2 pins on the VGA
connector might not be able to make that boast. (You'll need to
tell Windows what kind of monitor you've got, if you try this.)
My old Trinitron has that kind of interface (no ID functions).

If disconnecting the monitor helps, and you have a spare VGA cable,
this pinout page might give you some ideas. The idea would be to
disconnect the ID or DDC wires, leaving any grounds or video signals
intact. I would start by disconnecting 9, 12, 15, and see if it
helps.

I'd guess a Power supply problem, can you squeeze a bigger PS in there or
even just plug one in from ouside the box for testing purposes?

I have an A7N266-VM that boots off the keyboard routinely with no problems
(480w power supply, but I need that for the Radeon 9500 video card on it).
