A7M-266-D: Mix different kinds of registered DIMM?

Howdy all,

I know you can't mix registered and unregistered DIMMs but...

....can you mix registered DIMMs of different sizes?

If it helps...the machine in question is an A7M266D with 512MB (2x256MB) of
registered memory. I'd like to increase it to a whole 1024MB by chucking in
an extra single 512MB registered DIMM rather than two 256s.

The manual says you can mix them, so why not ?

Registered memory takes some of the worry out of
performance, due to the reduced address bus loading.
I wouldn't expect problems with only three registered
modules at PC2100 speeds.
