screwed

hi,
I have a very weird problem. I changed my screen resolution
to very high, which my computer couldnt support so the
screen went black. Then I restarted my computer. So now
when I try to login, once I get past the "windows opeing"
sign, it goes black and I don't know what to do. please
help me. I dont want to have to do anything drastic.

Boot in safe mode and change the resolution to one that your monitor can
handle.

Reboot. Tap F8 as the system is rebooting and you should get into
"Safe" mode. You should be able to reset the display resolution there.

Boot to safe mode and reset the resolution to one which is supported
by your monitor. Press F8 several times during POST in order to enter
safe mode.

.
go to safe mode and change video setting and then reboot

I'm having the same problem but not because of any changes I made. How are
you getting past Windows loading and have a normal screen when booting ( I
just keep rebooting and get lucky)and is your OS an upgrade ?
