<<snip>>

This is really impressive, but 1 question.....where's the catch? Do all
functions get recorded at metaeureka.com or just the search? What data
does it pass back exactly, please?

There is no catch!? Nothing is recorded even not the searches. This
toolbar don't contain any spy/ad ware of something like that.

Apologies for my cynicism - utility toolbars make me nervous. Immensely
useful utility toolbars like this one make me even more nervous. I know
that the search facility goes through metaeureka.com, and I know that paid
ads get a higher placement. So far, so good. Is there anything else, was
the question I should have asked.

Anyone try this yet and have some feedback?

Anyone try this yet and have some feedback?
I've given it a go, and despite my initial suspicion, it really does seem
like a splendid piece of kit; replacing several programs.
The URL link popularity only seemed to work for Altavista - I expected it
to go through all the onboard search engines and the URL position analysis
didn't seem to work at all.
Apart from that, everything I've tried seems to be pretty good. The
password revealer, I suspect, won't work in Win2K/XP; but works fine in W98
I like it. Another 8/10 from me. I'd probably give it a 9 if you could
choose the order of the tools on the toolbar...so the user's favourites are
visible. I'd also like a way of turning off the clipboard history - I
don't want my clipboard saved by any app that can access the net....it
makes me nervous.

Ah. You can turn off the clipboard history. Excellent.

Hi,
Link popularity works on: Alltheweb, Altavista, Google and Gigablast,
I have just checked and all the sites working so it was maybe only
timeout on our server.
Password reveler works also on Win2k (xp not tested somebody?) but not
on the all controls.
Order of the tools is nice idea! it will be on the next version
together with two more tools :popup killer and auto fill forms but
only on IE.

I'm not getting anything at all from the link popularity or the URL
position analysis now - I'm on a modem in the UK so it could well be a
timeout problem.
The auto-fill forms function will be able to be turned off when it
arrives, yes?
Do all the functions get relayed through your server, or just some?

Hello I want to inform you about our new A-ToolBar (freeware ofcourse)
This toolbar upsets my apple cart.

It puts features at my fingertips that I seldom use, and will now probably
use more. Like I have time or something. :-\

It can also take the place of a few favorite little apps.

A-Toolbar is also very pretty.

Only 1 wish: Ability to drag it to the top or side of the screen, and
auto-hide. Did I say 1?

Congrats on a nice tool bar.

Bob

"Auto fill" will be on demand, so if user click the button then form
gets filled in otherwise nothing happens.
Only function that require html parsing are relayed on our server
because often changes of search engines and sites output.

Thanks for that.
