We got a copy of Server2003 Ent Ed with 25 clients from microsoft at a
corporate event. I was specifically told that it was absolutly
standard unrestricted software and the MS guy joked that "he dinb't
want to see it on ebay."
I want to use it for production and I have 2 questions:
When the time comes will the next version of Server recognize this as
a prerequisite ?
Has MS ever put a special or restricted version server software in a
box without identifying the restriction?
This is a 25 client kit. I can't see MS making educational/restricted
version with a 25 seat license. If they wanted to hobble it they just
make it a a 5 client kit.
Here's the identifying info:
The sticker says "WIN SRV ENT 2003 ENG NA NFR CD 25 C"
NFR is obviously Not For Resale.
I'd like to know what NA means
There is a sticker on the box that says "Promotional Sample Not For Resale"
Thanks
