a question about inserting pictures

is there a way to make my picture sort of fade to white on the edge in
frontpage 2003? i can see how to do it with autoshapes, but i don't
know how to do it with an image. i'm new at this, obviously, so please
do not be afraid to give me very explicit instructions!

for an example of what i mean, see this website:

see how the picture of the coffee cup fades to white so they could put
text on the other half? can i do this in frontpage? or do i have to do
it in another program?

Needs an image editing program.

See if your machine has Picture It installed. it will do it.
