I ordered three new Toshiba Satellite A70s with Windows XP Pro, and an
understanding that the version delivered with them would SP1.

When I received them, I found that they are SP2, which absolutely will not
function with the software/hardware system we purchased them specifically to
interface.

Toshiba is dragging their feet, and has yet to follow up with me after two
weeks of repeated calls.

I have several full version, non-OEM installation copies of Windows XP Pro
that we have installed on other machines. Is it possible to install these
pre-SP2 versions on the new Toshibas and register them with the Toshiba SP2
licenses delivered with the new PCs?

Thanks in advance.

A. No. The Toshiba OEM Product Keys will only work with the Toshiba
supplied Windows XP recovery CDs. They will not work with any other
Windows XP installation CDs.
