Antonio;

Linux has all the tools of a firewall already available. If you'd like
to "roll your own," see:
http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Firewall-HOWTO.html

To turn a Linux box into a *dedicated* firewall & gateway, see
smoothwall *express* at :
http://www.smoothwall.org/

For a command-line proggy based on the netfilter-iptables tools, try:
http://projectfiles.com/firewall/

For a gui-based firewall with a very active support community, try ipcop
at:
www.ipcop.org

hth,
Sparky
