a lot of unknown entries in add/remove programs

I have a lot of unknown entries appeared in my add/remove program folder,
they all say they are rarely used and all have little installer icons. If I
dont know what they are, can I get rid of them and if so how? There is no
remove feature next to them

<sigh> What SORT of unknown entries? Give us an example, PLEASE.
