I have two pcs working into a hub. The server has a 2
network drivers, "L" and "K". The workstation can ping the
server... the server can ping the workstation. When I try
to read from the workstation the info into either "L"
or "K", I do not have access... the 2 PCs can see it each
other, there is communication between those ones.... Ther
is no domain so I am not loggin in from the workstation to
the server....

Either "L" an "K" are shared without restrictions.

Thank you for your support.

Are you dealing with a W2K server? The fact that you aren't login in with an
existing account is probably why the resource is innaccessible. Basicly, a
W2K server is like a domain in a box in that it will prevent anonymous
connections unless specified otherwise. To suggest that an account is not
required is a misunderstanding of the nt-based user-level security. To rest
my point, note the disabled Guest account on the server.

Also, you might well have both share and ntfs security in so far as resource
permissions are involved.
