A few problems

I'm not sure if anyone can give me an idea of what might be going on with our
database. When I am making any changes, in a table, form, report...etc and I
hit either the save button or design view, sometimes even the preview button.
Access will shutdown and when I log back in...the changes made were not
saved. I then have to compress and repair before I can work again (only for
a short time, before it happens again). Now, in one of my memo fields, it
will not save additional data at all and it only currently holds maybe 25
characters.

My database size is at 8.41mb. Can anyone give me any kind of advice? Our
Tech guy is on vacation.

What version of Access? Are you up to date with all service packs?

Try creating a new database and importing all objects. Then hit Ctrl-G and
use Debug, Compile. Then click on Save. Also ensure you compact regularly.
