A DVD Question...

I have created an .avi file using Adobe Premiere 6.5 that
is just 36 minutes long but it's a mammoth 7.5GB in
size. I want to burn this "home movie" onto one DVD
disk. How do I do it? Do I need to convert it to
another file format? How am I going to get it onto
just one 4.7 DVD disk? Thanks for anybody's help.

You will use DVD burning software that should create a smaller file in the
correct format for burning to the DVD. Since I do not know what DVD burning
software you're using, I can't tell you for sure that it will work, but the
software will tell you wether or not the reformattted file will fit.
