Excel 2000. Three questions regarding the comment feature please. 1.
Change I change the default size of the text in the comment box independent
of the rest of the worksheet, 2. Frequently when I put the cursor over the
cell to read a comment the box that comes up "slides" to the right, often
off the edge of the screen. Can I manually tell it to go in a different
direction or set a default so it compensates for this?, 3. When I 1st make
a comment in a cell how do I make the cell come up blank rather than with
the user's name in bold with a colon after it?

Thanks for your prompt reply. To make sure we are in understanding. I see
how to change the default text for the comment. It says I have to delete
the user name in the setup if I don't want it to appear in the comment box.
It also says that this will affect any Office application needing a user
name. Is this correct? I thought there was just an option within Excel to
turn it on/off for comments only. I did not see the location of the box on
flyover mentioned. Can I change it? BTW I noticed it comes up on different
sides of the cell depending wether I am using the flyover method or chosing
the veiw comments command. Also I am somewhat of a novice and do not want
to get involved with progroming.

Thanks... Bob

Hi
you undertood it correctly :-)
there're not that many option for comments build-in in
Excel. So there're no easy solutions
