AllenBrowne.com has a module that tracks changes to data and provides a
UserName, DateTime, and actual changes to the data. I managed to copy and
install and it works.

If he can do it why can't MS?

Why should Microsoft include it? Not everyone wants the overhead of an audit
trail associated with their application, and since it's relatively simple to
add one, I don't see a reason to include as part of the base functionality.
