Problem: Entire (added) 20 Folders of Outlook Express 6 (Win 98 SE)
disappeared onto my (2nd) D Drive under New Folder name. I'm in
a full-blown PANIC!

Now, my emails are all inaccessible, have .dbx file extensions, & can't
be opened, or moved back to Outlook Express. ALL MESSAGES IN ALL
FOLDERS ARE GONE! I was trying to move ONE folder of old emails to
my D Drive where I have stored folders of email in the past. This time,
I followed an old OE MVP's instructions I had saved over 2 years ago
(Tom?) - and ended up with what is for me a DISASTER!

I know the problem has come up before and the solution is probably
simple, but I'm not technically very proficient and need some kind MVP
Tech genius to give me step-by-step careful directions how to restore
my OE folders - and all the hundreds of emails in them - to what it was
just an hour ago (7pm, July 4th).

I'm truly desperate. Can someone tell me how to convert all the .dbx
unopenable things on my D Drive back to my OE on C drive so my life
can go on?

65 & an Idiot...in Michigan.

Run, don't walk, over to the Outlook Express newsgroup --
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress -- where the OE experts hang out. They will be better equipped to help you.
