MS Antispyware beta tells me in a popup several times a
day that the trusted site _//@mail.mar@ will not be added
as a trusted site because of my prior settings in
Antispyware beta.

I have no idea what _//@mail.mar@ is, why it is already
called a trusted site, and why it should be added or not
added as a trusted site. I have searched MS Antispyware
beta help and Microsoft.com, but can find no clue. I
have also searched the Internet using www.google.com and
MSN search, but found nothing.

This time, when I got the message, MS Antispyware then
also gave me the following errors:

Scanning your system checkpoints
An error occurred submitting the scan results. Please
check you internet proxy settings and try again.

correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or

From Bill Sanderson:
Just for reinforcement: Yes--this is essentially a bug in the beta
product--this url is associated with passport validation in several
products, as noted in this thread--it is fine to allow it.

there's a message from Steve Dodson, of Microsoft, in these groups giving
that information. I
guess the support folks at MSN aren't perfect--I'd suggest going back to
them and asking them to check further--this can't be the first time the
question has come up.

Here 'ya go:
