98 to XP Pro upgrade question

Hi,
I have Win98 (full version) installed on my machine and my wife has just
ordered me XP Pro for X'mas. But I was wondering if I what I really need was
an "upgrade" package rather than full-blown XP Pro? I haven't upgraded my OS
for a good few years now so I don't even know if XP comes in flavors other
than HOME and PRO; my wife just chose the most expensive one...

If I stick with the full version my wife has ordered for me, will there be
any problems installing on top of my Win98 or will XP cancel the installation
and tell me to go out and buy an XP upgrade???

Thanks!

Sean.

Yes you are able and eligible to purchase the upgrade version instead of the
full one.
see

You will still be able to do an upgrade using a full retail copy.
