9600 vs. 9600 pro

Given that the 9500 pro has been withdrawn from sale in the UK (anyone know
where to get them), can anyone tell me the differences between the 9600 and
the 9600 pro to warrant the price difference. They have the same amount of
ram, so I'm not too sure?

I've found a stockist that does the 9500's that are soft-moddable to 9700,
would it be best to get this and mod it to 9700 - would work out cheaper,
and as it apparently gives the same performance ish as a 9700 for much less?

I'm not sure about that Ben. The 9700 series has a 256 bit memory bus and
the 9500 has a 128 bit memory bus. My feeling is that is a hardware
difference, and so a software mod really wouldn't make them equal. I could
be wrong about that though. Maybe there are some 9500's that were
software-disabled only? I did find this which does a good job explaining
