8500dv using svideo to the TV to play games, image quality is poor

Hi

when I do send the signal to the TV the detail level of the text etc is
very bad.
Anyone know how to get a sharper quality picture on the TV?
When using the TV for playing DVD's from my pc the picture is excellent.

I've had a few people say run it through a vcr before it hits the TV.

Monitors are designed to display text, t.v's are not.

uh yeah use a smaller resolution
the tv signal is closer to 640x480 than anything
