802.1x EAP certificate problem

Has anyone had difficulty getting EAP to work on Windows XP client? I get a error saying Windows cannot find certificate to log on to the network. I have certificates on both local machine and current user with UPN. This problem is occuring with every single clients so I am beginning to wonder if the cert is bad. Any clues would be appreciated
