70-217 Garbage Collection

I am preparing for the 70-217 test and I am coming across some seemingly
contradictory info on garbage collection. I must be understanding it wrong,
but some places it says that the Garbage Collection takes place every 12
hours and then some says every 60 days. Can anyone elaborate on this to
make it clear what is correct?

Probably you got the 60 days interval from the tombstone life time.
