6718 dll - VISTA

Hi, I purchased a new system with Vista Home Premium and install MS OfficeXp.
The Office programs all installed and opened just fine except for Outlook.
When I open Outlook, it immediate advises me that Windows encountered a
problem and must close the program and as best as I can tell, the Error
message is "THE ORDINAL 6719 COULLD NOT BE LOCATED IN DLL MSV.DLL", I would
appreciate your help in correcting / fixing this problem. Thanks, Bob

Sorry, the sentence should read THE ORDINAL 6718 COULLD NOT BE LOCATED IN DLL
MSV.DLL (i.e. 6718 NOT 6719)

Outlook 2002 is not compatible with Vista.

Thanks Brian, I assume that Outlook in "older" copy of Office97 wouldn't
work either.
Any suggestions besides upgrading to Office'07 since the only components
that I use are Word and Excel and the only thing in Outlook that I use is
Contacts (the address book) which I started using a long LONG time ago.
I created an Export CVS and a PST file that I would like to Import into
"something" that I could use for an address only, any suggestions besides the
upgrading?
Thanks Brian,
Bob

Well, you should be able to use both Word 97 and Excel 97 (but I haven't
tried them). Vista's Contacts may be good enough to suit your purposes, but
since I don't know how you use your contacts, I can't say for sure.
