You can get a new 64bit machine, and you can still insatll your 32bit WinXP
O/s. You can also exchange your 32bit WinXP to a 64bit WinXP for free if you
want to install a 64bit WinXP on your 64bit machine/hardware.
If your copy of Windows came with your computer (OEM version), then no, you
cannot transfer it to a new motherboard and processor.
If your copy of Windows is a boxed Retail Version, then yes, you can
transfer it to the new machine.
Despite what was posted by others, you cannot exchange your 32 bit Windows
for 64 Bit Windows. The Technology Advancement Program (TAP) ended well
over a year ago, and only retail boxed versions of Windows XP Professional
qualified for the exchange. If you have Windows XP Home or an OEM version
of Windows, you would not have been eligible for the exchange.
