Could anyone tell me if a Intel P4 64 bit 3.2 ghz is faster than a P4 32-bit 3.8ghz
and also is it the same for AMD's, is amd's 64-bit better than 32-bit with higher ghz?

Also if its worth it buying a 64-bit processor yet?

if u think i should go for 64-bit... which one out of these two would u buy (considering price difference)

Not being funny or disrespectful ... but I don't see a motherboard listed.

Without a motherboard the rest is useless. ;)

Oh, and I would go with AMD anytime. :thumb:

hmmm.... motherboards, motherbards.. ahh i c........ one moment
....di-di-di-di-di-dum-dum-la-la-la-ta-da-ta-da-laddy-daaaaa....
...
..
.
ahh here we r
ASUS A8N-SLI Delux Mainboard - DDR400, Dual GB LAN, IEEE 1394, SATA 3GB, PCIEX16, SLI Ready (thats to the top one, 1499, i think anyways)

and alas the stupid idiots on the other PC havent listed the motherboard, omg i admit it http://uk.aldi.com/special_buys/product_111.html
im so ashamed!!! cheap tho dont ya think

Oh dear, a Medion ... err, no thanks.

Too complicated? If you have built your on in the past you should be fine m8.
Not much more to it to be honest. It seems a little more daunting because of all the extra hardware like PCI-E coming out. But it aint honest ;)

i built a pc about 7 or 8 years ago... it had 266mhz proc, 20 gig hd ( i think, i long since binned this)

well anyways my point is that then all u had to decide was processor...intel.... easy enough... graphics card ( hahahah, u had a massive choice in the ninties of about 3 ahh voodoo, 3dfx)

32 meg of ram and a shitty 20 gig HD, powersuply, shity box!! even motherboards where simpler then wtf is a Asus A8kvbit 9XÁë............................................( that goes on for sum time)

anyways i get annoyed at companies (like AMD, INTEL, ATI, ASUS) who sit there and give each product a silly amount of names numbers and letters and then theres all that SuperSmooth™ UltraHard™ bull**** there must be ATLEAST 100 different graphics cards come on the market in the last year from different chipset makers.....
....right getting bitter now, sorry :)
to be honest i might aswell let sum1 else do it.....i get like that every time i start looking at building my own...

Yeah i understand m8. It can be a little worrying sometimes. However just think of it like this; If you dont start now and begin to build up you knowledge at present then you really are gonna be lost in the future when we all have 5 terabyte crystal storage devices. Running in 256bit machines on a optical light array ;)

lol..... i suppose ure right........
ever heard of Quantum physics...... lol that will own.... 128 bit encryption broken in the smallest fraction of time
2020.... so they say

right well be4 i decide tell me wot u think of this sytem....

Athlon 64 fx55
2Gb DDr400
160 gig s-ata
16x dvd
2x 128 Geforce 6600GT SLI
windows Xp pro
keyboard and mouse and speakers
6 in 1 card reader and a surge protector
1565.10
dont say wot motherbaord
