62 Identities...is this normal?

I'm in the process of transferring my OE6 accounts over to a new machine and
I've noticed there are 62 (Yes sixty-two!) identities in the relevant
folder.
Sixty of these appear to be empty folders with info in only two. (I have
already set Folder Options to show hidden and system files.)
Can these sixty be safely deleted?

You'd be better off removing the malware that created the identities.

I scan regularly for malware/spyware using Spybot S+D and Ad-Aware and no
problems reported.
So what do you reckon...can I just delete the empty identity folders?

Go ahead. The malware in your computer will just create new ones.
