I am wanting to set up a 56K Lan modem so that i can monitor several
pieces of equipment at our tower location. I want to dial into the lan
modem with my pc, and use pc anywhere to access any computer on that
network. I have seen Lan Modems that are designed for users inside the
lan to get internet access, but is there one that i can dial into, and
have it answer after a couple of rings, and let me access the network
attatched to it?

Thanks in advance,
Jason

I have an external US Robotics modem that I have used for that purpose
except I used XP Pro Remote Desktop versus PCAnywhere. I now use it strictly
for our Windows FAX service (incoming and outgoing). Mine is a slightly
older model, by three or so years, than this version but I highly recommend
it...

I bought mine a Wal-Mart...:-)

I need one so that can connect to the modem, and access multiple pc's
connected to that device. The one you suggested is only for one
computer. That is what i have set up now on one computer. i want to be
able to monitor up to 4 computers with pcanywhere.

Here is what i want to do...

1. Connect to the Lan Modem
2. Open PcAnywhere
3. Enter the IP address of one of the machines and monitor.
I want to do this for every machine at the tower site with one dial-up
modem/router.

I misread your original post. Sorry about that...
