I've been using Microsoft Outlook for several weeks with no problems. Today,
I'm suddenly unable to send emails to ANYONE. I'm get an immediate System
Administrator email with this error 550 5.1.1 <[email protected]> is
not a valid mailbox

I've tried several email addresses that I've corresponded with before, but
nothing is going out.

Thanks,
Lisa

Have you restarted Outlook or your PC? What version of Outlook are you using?
Are you using POP3, Exchange, ETC.? Any other error messages/numbers?

Yes, I restarted both Outlook and my PC. I'm using Microsoft Office Outlook
2003, Version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 2 Build 2600.

Here is another error message I'm now getting:

Task 'mail.wahmdrive.com - Sending' reported error (0x8004210B) : 'The
operation timed out waiting for a response from the sending (SMTP) server. If
you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or
Internet service provider (ISP).'

I've contacted my ISP, who advised that I contact my server administrator,
which I've done. Waiting for a reply from them. (WAHMDrive is my server
administrator)

I don't know how to find the answer to your other question (POP3, etc.),
although I'm pretty sure mine is "webmail"????

Pleaes let me know what you think.

Thanks so much!

~Lisa

Are you using a Linksys router at all? Or are you using terminal services? Do
you use Norton antivirus? Actually if you use any antivirus and have it set
to scan incoming and outgoing mail, it can cause this issue. You can safely
turn that off without compromising your security.

You may want to have your router tested to make sure it's not faulty. For
your Norton antivirus, you should be able to find it in your programmes list
and configure it to not scan incoming/outgoing mail or check the Symantec
website for instructions.
