505 error message

Hi -Can anyone help me. I am a novice with an outlook
problem. I try to send email but receive the following
message.
550 User not local. Authentication required for relay

Can anyone tell me what I must do to fix this.

Go into the Properties of the email account (Tools > Email Accounts > Next),
highlight the account and select Change > More Settings > Outgoing Server >
Check the first box.
