How can I work with a large number of files. I often will have multiple
directories with 30,000 to 50,000 files in each directory, causing the
computer to work very slow, and accessing the directories very slow. I am
using windows xp home edition. Any suggestions? Will XP professional work
any better?

Hi

What kind of folders are holding that many files each? Folders that
specific programs have created or ones that you have created?

Are you displaying thumbnails for every file (i.e., what view are you
using)?
