3TB drive access from XP over a network

Is it possible for XP to extend the limit by using 1024 or 2048 byte
sectors?

Today, HDDs with larger sector sizes are not available. It is
planned to make the sector size larger at some time in the
future.

Incidentially, the fix would be to use 64 bit pointers in the
partition tables, and alternate partition tables to the limited
MS ones are available and in use, jut not on Windows.
