I seems to have lost the use of 3 of my USB ports. When a device is pluged
in an error message comes up saying that thier is a device malfunction.
Having followed the help options and checked the hubs two of them have an
error of no driver installed, if required. Yesterday I briefly installed a
usb 4 x hub, when I came to remove it, selecting remove hardware safely
option, I think I removed the wrong thing. I now have only one listing USB
ADSL WAN adapter. I know I had 3 in that list up till yesterday!! It would
appear that somehow I have managed to stop 3 out of my 5 usb's working, why 3
not 1,2,4 or all 5.

I hope someone can help me out of this problem, I'm at my wits end!!

Many Thanks

If they are USB ports built into the motherboard and not an add-in card
you'll have to contact tech support of the motherboard manufacturer for
help.

might try removing the ports under Device Manager.
shutting down the cmputer for3-5 minutes then powering up again and allowing the OS to find and install the ports.
usually works for me.
