3 Gb space missing

Paul Wong

I am wondering how this still happen when I already using NTFS for my
harddrive.
When I sum up all the folder's size immediate under C:, and compare with
C:'s properties, I found that:

Sum-up of all immediate folder under C: is 6.5GB
Used space for C: drive is (Total space - Free Space) (13.7GB-4.54GB) =
9.16GB

which is differ by (9.16-6.5) 2.66GB.
Where this so-big-size-space goes to?

Have you looked at the files in the root of C, like a hibernation and or
pagefile? These are usually rather large.

Recycle Bin, System Restore, etc. There is always some overhead for the
File System too you need to take into account.

How's deepest Somerset this fine spring evening? Mind you, I've been to
Yeovil many times, and it's a dump (well, most of it).

Not that I'm jealous or anything... ;o)
