3-D cell reference

When do you use 3-D cell reference?

Well I think you've posted an Excel question in a group for Microsoft
Access, the database program and you'll get a better answer if you post in
microsoft.public.excel

What I think you are referring to is referring to a column:row position on a
specific worksheet. saying =A1 gets you a column:row position, and I think
you can refer to a specific worksheet by index number and by the name that's
on its tab at the bottom. That way you can refer to cell A1 of "This
Sheet". But I'm a database guy, not a spreadsheet guy so I don't know how
to do that.
