3 1/2 inch floppy disk drive

How do I get the 3 1/2 inch floppy drive to work? I have no icon for it and it won't read or write any thing to it. Is there a driver I can download to use the floppy drive? Where do I get one?

Is this a newly installed floppy? Did this drive just stop working? A
little more info please.

Is it recognized by the BIOS during system start? Have you checked all the
cables, etc?
